As I sometimes listen to “pastors” teach about “Grace” I can’t help but think they are reading from a different Bible than I am. The new “False Frace Gopel” that is taught is so many “churches” these days is a different Gopel than what is taught in the Bible.
It seems to me, that “pastors” do not have a Biblical understanding of GRACE. Many times I hear that it is “Unmerited Favor” of God. The Bible never says it is “unmerited.” Does this mean one does not need to respond to God in order to have His Grace, or does it matter How I respond?

In fact, as I read the Bible I see that GRACE IS CONDITIONAL.

Let’s see who God gives grace to.

James 4:6
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:
“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”

Who does God give grace to?
The HUMBLE, NOT HE PROUD!

Romans 5:1-2
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Who does God give Grace to?
THE ONE WHO IS LOOKING TO HIM IN FAITH.
THE FALSE GRACE GOSPEL of our day gives the impression that God jut winks at sin and grace lets us get away with it. They say, “God doesn’t see your sin, He sees Jesus.”. This false teaching promotes the idea that one can do what he wants and God always sees him as “righteous.”. NOT TRUE. John tells us in 1 John 2:29
“If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.” he goes on to say in
1 John 3:7
“Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.”

There are those who are deceived and teaching a deception, that I can live any way I want and God sees me as righteous. John warns us not to be deceived and many, because of their “ICHY EARS” love this false grace gospel.
Ezekiel agrees with John and defines RIGHTEOUSNESS for us.
Ezekiel 18:5
But if a man is just
And DOES what is lawful and right;

Ezekiel 18:9
If he HAS WALKEDin My statutes
And KEPT My judgments faithfully—
He is just;
He shall surely live!”
Says the Lord God.

Jesus said the exact same thing in Matthew 7:21
“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord! ’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.

Don’t be deceived by these FALSE TEACHERS who teach another Gospel of False Grace.

THE TRUE GOSPEL OF GRACE EMPOWERS US TO LIVES GODLY LIVES THAT ARE PLEASING TO THE LORD.
Titus 2:11-12
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,
THE FALSE GRACE GOSPEL says, “Live like you want, God still sees you as ‘righteous.’” NOT TRUE!

If those “COPY AND PASTE PASTORS” would read the Word instead of scrambling to copy what some other false teacher has said, they would understand GRACE.

Maybe if the truly understood the POWER OF GRACE they could teach though the Book of Romans without misrepresenting God’s Grace.

“Cheap grace means the justification of sin without the justification of the sinner. “Grace alone does everything” they say, and so everything can remain as it was before. “All for sin could not atone.” Well, then, let the Christian live like the rest of the world, let him model himself on the world’s standards in every sphere of life, and not presumptuously aspire to live a different life under grace from his old life under sin.” Cheap grace offers a false intimacy because it requires no submission.”

“Grace is exalted-conduct diminished, forgiveness flourishes-obedience ignored.“ Using the saying of, “It’s all covered by grace” as a blanket to dismiss the seriousness of sin. ”This cheap grace has been no less disastrous to our own spiritual lives. Instead of opening up the way to Christ it has closed it. Instead of calling us to follow Christ, it has hardened us in our disobedience.” This “grace” is viewed as an unlimited repository of funds that flow to the sinners account to immediately excuse all immoral actions of the believer. It is designed to diffuse and excuse failures and sin.

John 7:18 He who speaks FROM HIMSELF seeks his own glory….”

One has to wonder why some pastors refuse to teach through the Word of God. When God tells us in Psalms 138:2

“For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.”

Are they just trying to have a following?
Are they trying to please the flesh on those who might come?
The words they speak are of no eternal value it it originates within themselves. How can you make “Disciples” without teaching people the entire Word of God; letting the Word speak for itself.

Paul told Timothy, “Preach THE WORD……”

It’s interesting that in John 8:44 Jesus said, “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”

The flesh wants to glorify itself. The flesh wants to have as many “followers” as possible, so it tries to appeal to the carnality of man. Sad to say, many pastors have to appeal to the “goats” which are the majority of their congregation. (Jesus said, His sheep are FEW Narrow is the path the leads to life and FEW there are who find it.) The only way to get a “goat” to like you, is to appeal to his fleshly senses.

When a “pastor” has to resort to telling jokes and cute stories, he is speaking from “himself” and not giving people the “WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE.”

Examine the words from your pastors’ mouth? Are the coming from the Word of God or the God’s Holy Word? If he is speaking his own words, he has and agenda different from God’s. He wants to have a following, instead of making followers of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
I find that “pastors and teachers” who just speak their own words are not pending time with God. Out of the heart the mouth speaks.

If we would give the the true Gospel, “Telling them they must repent and follow God in order to be saved” instead of a False Gospel, “Ask Jesus into your heart”, then maybe we would not have so many that are False Converts and live like the world thinking the are on their way to Heaven. Sad day in the church, when we do not even present the True Gospel to our kids, letting them think they are Christians and ending up in Hell because we misrepresented the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Paul warns us over and over again, not to be deceived, yet many fall away from the truth, because they have “Itchy Ears.”

(3) out of love for his master,

(4) slavery – giving up everything, and

(5) for life.

Those are the same requirements for those who would follow Jesus and receive him as their LORD. The New Testament writers declared themselves to be bond-servants of Jesus Christ: Paul (Romans 1:1), James (James 1:1), Peter, (2 Peter 1:1), Jude (Jude 1:1) and John (Rev. 1:1).

All true believers are declared to be bond-servants: ?(Revelation 1:1) “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must shortly take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John,”

“There is no scripture whatsoever that states or implies there can be salvation for a person who purportedly only accepts or receives Jesus as Savior. It is UNBIBLICAL and false! I say ?purportedly? because Jesus is not the Savior of those who claim to accept or receive him only as Savior. He is the Savior only of those who receive him as LORD.Scripture confirms that obedience is our proper response to our LORD Jesus. The writer to the Hebrews related salvation to obedience: ?He (the LORD Jesus) became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him? (Hebrews 5:9). Jesus expected obedience from his followers. He asked those who claimed to follow him as LORD but did not obey him, ?Why do you call me, ?LORD, LORD,‘ and do not do what I say?? (Luke 6:46). Jesus said there could be no salvation without obedience: ?Not everyone who says to me, ?LORD, LORD,‘ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven? (Matthew 7:21). Obedience from love is the natural response of our relationship as servant to Jesus as our LORD. It is also evidence that Jesus is truly our LORD.”

?He (the LORD Jesus) became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him? (Hebrews 5:9).

The False Gospel of today calls people to “make Jesus their “Savior” or “Ask Jesus into their heart,” neither of which are found in the Bible. Another Gospel.

How To Preach Without Converting Anybody

Preach on every doctrine that centers the attention on man rather than Jesus. Teach every doctrine that makes man the center of God’s attention rather than God the center of man’s devotion. Tell people only what God will do for them.
Avoid preaching about the necessity of a radical change of heart, through the truth revealed to the heart by the agency of the Holy Spirit.

Let your supreme motive to be popular with all people, then, of course, your preaching will be suited for that purpose, and not to convert souls to Christ.

Avoid preaching doctrines that are offensive to the carnal mind, so that no one should say to you, as they did of Christ, “This is a hard saying, who can hear it?”

Make no distinct points, and do not disturb the consciences of your hearers so that they may become truly alarmed about their souls.

Avoid all illustrations, repetitions, and expressive sentences that may compel people to remember what you say.

Avoid all heat and enthusiasm in your delivery, so that you never make the impression that you really believe what you say.

Make appeals to the emotions, and not the conscience, of your hearers.

Be careful not to testify from your own personal experience of the power of the gospel, so that you never should produce the conviction upon your hearers that you have something which they need.

Do not stir up uncomfortable memories by reminding your hearers of their past sins.

Denounce sin in a general way, but make no reference to the specific sins of your present audience.

Do not make the impression that God commands your listeners here and now to obey the truth. Do not let them think that you expect them to commit themselves right on the spot to give their hearts to God.

Give the impression that they are expected to go away in their sins, and to consider the matter at later time of their convenience.

Preach salvation by grace; but ignore the condemned and lost condition of the sinner so that he never should understand what you mean by grace, and know his need of it.

Preach the gospel as a remedy or a cure, but conceal or ignore the fatal disease of the sinner.

Do not speak of the spirituality of God’s holy law (by which comes the knowledge of sin), so that the sinner never should see his lost condition and repent.

Make no appeals to the fears of sinners; but give them the impression that they have no reason to fear.

Preach Christ as an infinitely friendly and good-natured being. Ignore those scathing rebukes of sinners and hypocrites which so often made His hearers tremble.

Do not rebuke the worldly tendencies of the church, so that you should never hurt their feelings, and finally convert some of them.

Admit, either obviously or casually, that all men have some moral goodness in them; so that sinners should never understand that they need a radical change of heart, from sin to holiness.

Say so little of hell that your people will think that you do not believe in its existence yourself.

Make the impression that, if God is as good as you are, He could not send anyone to hell.

Make no disagreeable reference to the teachings of self-denial, cross-bearing, and crucifixion to the world, so that you should never convict and convert some of your church members.

Do not rebuke extravagance in dress, so that you should never make an uncomfortable impression on your vain and worldly church members.

Encourage lots of church socials, and attend them yourself.

Aim to make your hearers pleased with themselves and pleased with you, and be careful especially not to wound the feelings of anyone.

Make sure you avoid preaching to those who are present. Preach about sinners, but not to them. Say “they,” and not “you,” so that anyone should never take your subject personally, and apply it to their own life, Securing the salvation of their soul.

Preach that the new birth is something God deposits in people, not a fundamental change in the ultimate purpose of our lives.

Never tell people that they must cease from serving self and serve God and do His will.

Never tell them that repentance is man’s ability and responsibility to turn from his sin to God! Teach them to delay turning away from all known sin toward God.

Preach predestination in such away that results in fatalism and apathy on the part of all people. Make each person believe that God has already determined who shall be saved, and nothing can change His will. You never want anyone to think that their actions can make any difference.

Preach that man is totally unable to obey God. Teach him that no one can turn to God, but he must wait upon God to turn (change) him. Make sure that no one realizes his true responsibility requiring him to repent in order to be saved. You never want anyone to know that man can turn from sin to God but the real problem is that he will not!

Preach that every one is born a sinner and a criminal. Teach that every baby is born guilty before God. You never want anyone to consider the fact that man is born morally innocent. You do not want anyone to know that he becomes a sinner because, in his rebellion, he has refused to love God with all his heart according to the light and has selfishly sought his own happiness above all else.

Preach that a person can be saved without making Jesus his lord.

Teach that holiness is just an option and not a requirement of the gospel. Teach them that they can be Christian without becoming true disciples.

Preach eternal security in such away that requires no perseverance in faith or continuance in holiness on the part of the believer. Make every person think he has his ticket to heaven that is all paid for so that he will always safely scoff at all calls for repentance and righteous.

Teach Christians that sin is a normal and natural part of their every day life and that they can never truly expect to ever overcome sin through the power of Christ.

Preach that no Christian needs to do anything. Teach them that they are safe and heaven bound even if their lives are disobedient and rebellious.
